Summer Lovin' in July 012

Katie LOVES bath time, she splashes and twists around and really doesn’t mind the water being dumped over her head. She is getting big and I am afraid that time is running out on how long we have to use the Pooh tub before we have to move her to the big tub:(

Katie and I went to Panama City with the JOnes clan to watch Keely's Softball team. While there we had a chance to go down and walk on the beach and put our toes in the sand. We went swimming in the pool as well Katie chased her floating turtle toys around the pool and got passed around to everyone, having a big time!

Katie took her 2^nd trip to Terrapin, the first time didn’t really count, she slept through the whole event, but this time she had fun getting passed around and licking the glasses!

Katie has found her tongue lately and now we can’t keep it in her mouth. It sure is cute though!

 

We are making our baby food by blending up the fruits and veggies and freezing it into serving sizes. It is so cost effective! Katie is such a good eater! She is eating squash, sweet potatoes, peas, lima beans (not favorite), green beans, zucchini, and carrots. Apples, pears, peaches, and prunes she enjoys as well.

June Bug

One of my favorite times of the day is nap/snuggle time with Katie. In the morning we have been napping and snuggling on the couch it is the most favorite for sure, to go to sleep and then wake up with that smiling face right there! Sorry Jake, Katie doesn’t have morning breath! I have also enjoyed napping while it lasts, I have never been much of a napper.

We have been spending time on the porch grilling, as we do in the summer time and Katie seems to enjoy it quite a bit, depending on the second:) 

             I'm pretty sure you should be more upset that I am upset...quit taking pictures!

    Where ever Katie is, Sam is. He keeps an ever watchful eye on her:) 

 

                                          For Father's Day we made hand prints on burner covers. 
                                          Needless to say it got a bit messy:)

May 2012 Katie took her first trip to 6 Flags with us, Allie, and Ruthie. She took in all the people and napped like a champ. We all had fun taking turns riding rides and relaxing in the shade with Katie. We started a code word for the “interesting” people we would encounter at 6 Flags. We would say funnel cake at 3 o’clock. It was a fun/scary game…who says netting is an acceptable cover-up?! More importantly who wants to ride a roller coaster after someone wearing netting for pants!!

Sam is getting used to Katie being on the floor and moving around. He tries to be so careful, if he knew how, I would swear that he was tip-toeing so he would not step on her, but be able to lie as close to her as possible. I have a feeling that those two are gonna be the sweetest of buddies!

We have spent the time just trying to soak in the days of snugly baby time. Every day is so different than the last. She is showing her personality more and more lately. It still seems unreal that we have a child some days! What did we do before we just sat and stared at her all day?? We can’t seem to remember!
