Potty Training, Snow and Birthdays, we had a great Feb

We celebrated our Katie Elouise turning three by going for ice cream. I still can not believe it has already been three years sine this little girl was born and made of family a trio, there has not been a dull moment since.

Staying home has not been easy and has been hard to accept the different role. I do love the snuggles and appreciate the time I have to spend with them while they are young. I am looking forward to being able to drive again so that I an take them places and not be cooped up in the house all the time. I think it will be good for all of us. I am looking forward to just being able to go to the library again. It is the simple things. I often wonder if I would feel this way if I chose to stay at home or if this is just because it wasn't a choice it just happened. It is no secret I don't like being told what to do or not having a say in the matter. I want to see my friends without having to burden them with always coming here. I want to be able to do things around the house without having to wait for Jake to get home to either watch the girls or take us somewhere. I have been a mother of  2 for almost a year and have not taken them anywhere by my self. That will be a whole different task. I don't want my anxiety about driving to bleed over to them and they have anxiety about getting in the car or driving either with me or anyone. We are lucky that Granny has been willing to take us when ever we need to go and just come rescue us from the confines of the house. I am looking froward to just dropping the girls off with her and her being able to just be Granny and not our driver as well.
The Queen

I have a feeling this won't be the only time they fight over this chair

Violet's favorite toys are whatever happen to be in this box, the pans make a lot of noise and she loves it.

Darby worked hard to make Violet her buddy this time around. Violet warmed up to everyone much better this time.

Violet even got some PePaw snuggles! That made for a happy PePaw!

Seriously, we get you a snugglie pillow and you put your feet on it!

Love her! And all her different faces!

 Sisters

Sometimes Sam gets to lay by himself and relax.

 Sometimes he has a friend.
He is so patient and kind to Katie when she uses him as her horse.
A Prince needs a good and reliable steed.

Even the best of us get distracted when eating.

It is almost impossible to get a shot of this one sleeping without waking her up.
Sometimes I am more gutsy that others and she was too cute snuggled with her blanket to not take her picture.

Snow week 2015, if you an all it that. We were hoping for more snow but it didn't happen. We got enough for the girls to "enjoy" it and that is about it. Katie was not impressed. It started out really light and then a few days later we got a bit more.

The ice on the trees was so pretty. I was worried about Jake going to work, but thankfully we have no trees to worry about directly effecting our house so that was not a worry and everyone else in the family was ok as well.
Batman looking for the snow...keep looking!

 The flurries started...

 a bit heavier now...

Sam has always enjoyed the older weather, he ran and ran,
I think he was hoping for more snow too.

There was a bit of accumulation on the steps and Katie played with that and even as she was playing with it, it was melting. There was one more spot right in front of the car and she tried her best to make a snow angel out there, but it was not working for her.

I wish there had been more snow, but I am glad we got to use the snowsuits and this picture is awesome and makes me think of A Christmas Story!

I had to almost force Katie to come outside this time,
as you an tell from the video she is thrilled!
Violet also was not shy about expressing her feelings.

Drumming time is a regular occurrence. I have a feeling that we will need either another drum set or some other musical instrument soon...
