The girls love their snuggles in the morning! It is really sweet to watch.
Now that Violet is older she really watches Katie and just enjoys being around her.
They both are growing way too fast!
Katie enjoyed decorating the Christmas trees this year. At Granny's she was very particular in her ornament placement. One limb got all the love!
The Commerce Christmas Parade.
We
are supporting our ever so talented Allie Looper who marches with the color guard in the Commerce High
Band.
We were sad that the parade was the same day as the Athens Parade, WHO HAS CANDY!!! Just saying, come on Commerce!

Even though it was very cold, Violet stayed nice and warm snuggled in the Moby with Daddy, he even wrapped his jacket around them both! She wasn't sure what was going on and wasn't sure if she liked staying out in the dark.
We sat in front of the Commerce Fire Department and their Christmas decorations, that made Katie very happy, she could dance with the snowman and reindeer, just like Prince Charming and Cinderella.
If you put a camera out this is what she does! HAM!
Violet Mae is starting to wiggle all around. She does NOT appreciate it when you leave the 1ft bubble or the room, other that that, she is pretty chill.
Katie had a special pig and baby that she kept in the bed with her and this baby and a giraffe from Bah are Violet's favorite snuggle toys.
Violet is a REALLY light sleeper and I would say 7 times out of 10 she stirs if not completely wakes up for a few minutes when I enter her room. Even at night when I go in to make sure all is well right before I go to bed. You think I would have learned my lesson by now!

Katie is a complete ham when you take out the camera, Violet on the other hand pretty much makes this face. She seriously went from smiling to this look of horror/confusion when I open the camera lens.
Southside Children's Christmas Program
Katie's age group were Mary and they carried their babies down the aisle and stood for a few seconds during a song and marched back.
Loved this one of Katie copying her teacher, smile:)
We had cookies with Santa at Southside and they had a line of people waiting for cookies and tables set up.Katie cut line, sat down at a table with a little girl, grabbed a cookie, and was in mid conversation when we got to her.
Aubrey came for cookies with Ms. Patty so the girls got to eat cookies together:)
Sweet Friends!
Violet was getting wheezy and the pediatrician said we could try a few breathing treatments to ward off anything crazy so we broke out the ol breathing machine. WOW, she is way better at taking these than Katie was. We had to swaddle Katie and hold her tight or she would wiggle out of our arms to get away. Violet just sits and lets me put the mask to her face. It's funny how little things like this make you see how vastly different their personalities are.
Katie puts the star on our tree every year or helps and Violet got in on the action this year.

The sole reason I put the ruffle tights on Violet was to get this shot!
The reindeer antlers were very short lived, but we got them on and a picture!
Where does she come up with these faces! Love this girl!
The manger scene that I grew up with.
A mad dash to FL/AL is Christmas tradition around here!
Good thing Batman was there to escort PePaw go to the bathroom, otherwise he may not have made it!
Please don't take it personally Aunt Darby! It's just my age, I will love you soon!
Unfortunately Violet is at the stage in her life that no one other than Momma or Daddy will do for holding her. This was the face she made anytime we passed her off, but Darby, Keely, Blane, Ninny, and PePaw all got grins and happiness when she was sitting beside them, just not in their laps.
Wait, you are kinda...
NOPE I'm outta here!
Katie came home with most of PePaw's candy canes and every time we left the house we left with a handful of candy canes to give to her friends.
Grandma Coleman is one of the two people Violet let hold her.
Iron man was helping Hunter build something.
Cousin Love!
These two don't get a chance to play very often, but when they do they play so well! Especially now that Katie is a bit older and can play. Hunter wasn't quite understanding that Katie wasn't old enough to play Legos the way he wanted her to.
Aunt Heather, the other magic touch of the trip, Violet let her hold her for a bit too.
Bah and her Granddaughters
Katie and Hunter did their best posing for the 100 pictures in front of the Christmas tree. It was getting late and they may have been tired of posing at this point:)
Jake, Hunter, and Charles even had to pose, and didn't even protest too much.
Another favorite Christmas tradition is making Peanut Butter balls with Granny. Katie really enjoys cooking, as long as she doesn't have to wear an apron, it gets in the way of her outfit!
Cutie Baby Booty!
Christmas morning 2014
Another Christmas morning tradition is reading the Christmas story from the bible. This year it is from the Children's bible, in a few years we will read it out of the Bible just like PawPaw Jenkins used to do.
Christmas morning in Christmas jammies!
Violet's favorite part of Christmas morning as by far the wrapping paper, big piece, little pieces, it was all amazing to her, left over card board box, fascinating!
We are blessed to have two healthy girls. One who asks a million questions every day and the other who is soaking in life on day at a time. It is different not working, but I am glad to be home with these two girls, it is never a dull moment.
Never get tired of seeing the snuggles these two have. I can't wait to see both girls draped over our Sam. He is so patient and kind with the girls. Way more than I ever thought he would be.
I am a minion?! I have boots!
Katie's opinion right now is as long as she has boots all is right with the world!
Christmas time makes us think about the people who are not here to experience the girls at Christmastime. We are blessed to be surround by family that love the girls, older cousins look up to and to influence them as they grow up, younger cousins to play with, Auntie's to play with. It's our hope that by carrying on the traditions of both of our families that the ones that have left us will be kept close.
Elmo's Favorite Songs is still in heavy rotation, to hear her still laugh when Snuffy is chasing the meatball is awesome.
Violet has two bottom teeth now and is very cute.
She has a very loud personality when she wants to be heard. Thankfully she is laid back and really only raises a fuss when it is time to eat.
She is a very nosy nurser, it is almost impossible to get her to nurse if there is anything going on anymore. She has got to see what Katie is going or where Sam is going, even at night, Jake has to sit still on the couch otherwise she whips around to smile at him.
We are working on sign language with Violet as we did with Katie and we think she has gotten "milk" down and almost has "more" as well.
Jake is still working at Roper. He does not exactly enjoy his job, as the upper management is not the brightest and not up for change, but he goes in early and works his booty off to keep our family a-goin'. Thank goodness for decent insurance!
I am finishing the year at home, still not very happy about it, but my focus on is driving with the girls in the car. That will open new doors and hopefully I can get to working again. We're gonna have to do something or win the lottery if we wanna keep staying at 351. For now we girls are rescued weekly by either Granny or Aunt Pat who take us out of the house to do something. It keeps us (me) from going insane!
Here's to a New Year where the Harmon's won't see the inside of an ER!
