Violet is 4 months old!
As most other houses with a girl, our house has been invaded by Frozen.
Katie has really taken to Let It Go and here is a snap shot of her usual routine when it is playing, no matter where we are.
Not sure who is putting who to sleep in the afternoons...
Katie is enjoying playing softball these days "like Keely" Jake and I are on a co-ed team but whatever, and Granny got her a glove and ball, Miss Thang decided to play ball in her heels. Not sure that will always work, but at home why not!
We finally were able to take Katie to her first craft fair that she was old enough to enjoy:) We did all the things you are supposed to do at the fair: we walked and looked at all the crafty stuff,
we rode the ponies
got Katie's face painted
slid down the "Big Big Big" slide
we nursed
The fair was at Hurricane Shoals and has a river with slidey rocks so after all the craft fun Katie got to play in the water and was a happy happy girl, I wasn't able to get any pictures of her sliding on the rocks, but it made me excited to take her back next year when I can get in the water with her and slide down the big rocks like she saw other people doing. She is a daredevil! Her froggy face didn't fair so well in the water though. Thankfully we had a change of clothes she was dirty!
One of Katie's many costumes is a blue Batman costume and she likes to wear it with a pink Super girl cape. She decided that when went to the ball game that is what she wanted to wear. Katie/Bat girl has become our mascot, now hopefully we can win some games...
Game Face!
Violet is on the move, sort of. I used to could put her on the play mat and she would lay there, now she rolls and kicks and spins around. Sweet girl is growing too fast!
Oh the many many face of my sweet girl!
Ninny gave me a heads up that they were sending some boxes to Katie, and Oh My did they send some stuff! four boxes of great finds from sales all over the place! One box full with MORE costumes! Katie has one dress for every princess, batman, shrek, power ranger, and everything in between! She is a lucky girl to have a shop-a-holic with a nose for a great sale as a Ninny! Daddy was very happy to add another Star Wars costume. We now have a Yoda and a Luke.
Woody has to have options!
9/27/14 After the unpacking of the boxes and trying on all the clothes, Katie went to have lunch and somehow ended up leaning too far back in her chair and doing something crazy to her foot. We are not sure if the chair landed on her foot or if her foot hit the table.
Right after accident.
The picture doesn't show how swollen the top of her foot was!
It was crazy!
Violet anxiously awaiting word if Katie's ok. Or maybe the milk got the best of her:)
As they left fr the ER I sent the text out letting everyone know what happened and knew in my gut she had broken her foot or toes or something. Jake said she favored it for a bit while in the waiting room, but made fast friends and soon playing with them was more important than her foot hurting. The Dr. said it was not broken and for us to watch for any changes. AH sigh of relief! I certainly
hope that we have met our ER quota for a few years with 3 out of 4 of us making a trip this year!
After they returned home her foot still looked jacked up but so much better
Katie and Violet are starting to enjoy each others company a lot these days.
It is so cute to watch.
