Katie enjoyed it, Katie is the tiny spot in the background digging in the dirt.
Precious girl sleeping!
She managed to slide out and this was as far as she got! Squirmy gus!
Violet has the craziest hair pattern! We are anxious to see how it grows in once she starts rolling over more on her own. She is a back sleeper for now, we will see if that changes.
Milk drunk snuggles really are the best!
"Look Mama! I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!"
Bah and Heather gave us these lovely Bama pacifiers when Katie was born. Katie was not interested in trying them out, Violet didn't seem to mind them. I am glad I got a picture of her using it, I am sure it won't be long until she is done with the pacifier all together.
We went to the Pumpkin Farm with some of our friends from Southside Church and got to bounce in the bouncey house
Pet bunnies, chicks, goats, play in a big ol pile of corn!
Violet spent the day in the Moby which was great, but I kept bumping her and Katie's head together as I tried to help Katie do things. Then I forgot the nursing pillow in the car and Violet would not nurse without it:( So we rode the hayride back to the car and then I realized I forgot the car keys and had to ride the hayride back to Granny to get the keys. A screaming hungry baby makes for a long hay ride! I felt so bad because it was totally my fault! I had it in my head that it was going to be this magical day at the Pumpkin Farm, Katie will meet up with kids from Church, all animals and fun we could handle. By noon I was frustrated and exhausted and sick of hay rides! I put on my happy face and finished the trip and as we were walking over to pick out the pumpkin, I asked Katie if she had fun to which she squealed with delight and said yes! As awful as I thought it was Katie had a blast! Mission accomplished, with help from Granny! We are so very lucky!
When we finally made it to the car with the keys, I put Violet in the seat after I took her out of the Moby and it took her three seconds to pass out, she was so tired she couldn't even eat!
Violet's faces! (and rolls) :)
Snuggle and movie times are pretty awesome!
A two year old in action. This morning we spent 20 minutes and a lot of crying because she couldn't watch a movie until she picked up her farm toys. The two pieces in particular are the yellow and green piece that are almost touching her foot. I tried pointing and directing and I told her to look at her foot and this is what she did.
Needless to say it was a long morning, they did eventually get picked up, not sure who it was more painful for.
I grew up rooting from the Florida State Criminoles, I mean Seminoles, so I was excited that Ninny sent a FL State onsie! Maybe we will be better fans once the hoodrat Winston is gone. For now we will be AL fans and FL State fans a wee bit.
Jake's eating skills while holding Violet is ever growing! How many people have eaten steak with a knife while (safely) holding a baby?
The cousins our grew their swing set and handed it down to Katie and Violet:) Thanks Mandy, Sasha and Omarion!
Violet is an eager eater! She has been staring us down for a while now every time we eat in front of her. This is her first time having cereal, she doesn't particularly enjoy it but she is eager for more.
Love the expression, to her defense it is pretty gross tasting stuff.
Katie asked to try some and was very disappointed and asked for drink immediately! Her face was very similar to Katie!
I think these two are tired of having their picture taken!
This is where all the good dancing happens!
I am obsessed with pictures of them sleeping, not sure why. But it is too dog gone cute!
Katie said her Baby was hungry and she needed a pillow. I handed her a couch pillow and this is what she did. It makes me so proud that she is mimicking nursing. I didn't address the fact she is trying to feed her baby from her belly button, we can work on technique later:) Proud Mama! Hey who knows maybe Baby dolls need belly button lent!
Katie received another package! This one is from Aunt Darby!
Both girls tried on the Elmo hat! How awesome!!
Katie's friend Aubrey cam over for a visit. the girls usually play very well together, with only minimal tattle telling.
First bath in the bathtub together. Violet was memorized by the floating toys and Katie continued on as normal. this won't be a regular thing just yet, but it was cute to watch.
I can't wait to see more of this as the girls get older! I love seeing them both smile!
Ana and Olaf made an appearance for Halloween at our house. With all the singing of Let It Go, we all assumed that it was going to be Elsa, when we saw an Elsa dress through the window she squealed and asked if she could have it, however when we got to the Halloween store she picked the Ana dress and stuck to her decision. We even put them side by side and she picked the Ana dress. This is a little girl who knows what she wants.
It's hard to tell but I even put felt "stick arms" on Violet's sweater for arms!
On actual Halloween night we went to Aunt Pat's neighborhood and went door to door trick or treating! It is an older neighborhood and they all enjoyed seeing the little ones dressed up. One lady even made haystacks ans cookies for the girls! Talk about and old fashioned Halloween!
