Jan. 29 2013 Jake gave us all a scare today. While we were
at Kroger he started acting funny and not feeling right. His arm eventually
stared feeling numb and his leg as well. The nurse practitioner from the clinic
in Kroger came over and asked him to smile and only one side of his mouth
smiled. By now his speech was not clear and it was time for 911. We thought he
was having a stroke so he took a ride in the ambulance. The Dr. at Athens Regional
said he either had a TIA, Transit Ischemic Attack or a massive migraine. His
symptoms cleared within an hour of starting. Our dear friend Catherine came and
picked up Katie and kept her. It was such a huge relief to be able to take care
of Jake and not worry about Katie; we knew she was in good hands. We were able
to go home finally on late Tuesday evening. We don’t really have a plan of
action right now, hopefully when Jake goes to his follow up Dr.’s visit we can
get some better answers, the ones we have right now are just not good enough
for me.
